This foundational course taking you through every technique, skill and consideration to grow your own cut flowers and supporting you through the year together. Whether you want to grow in mixed borders at home, a patch on an allotment or much bigger, you will learn exactly how to do so and apply the experience to your own space. The course has 3 phases - 1. ‘Closing’ down the growing season and preparing for the next 2. Planning your space and growing season 3. Executing your plans for your space this year I teach this in 5 ways - - In 5 practical sessions, completely each task together on the plots, taking home plants and flowers to grow on and arrange. Picking up on each growing stage across the year. - A 1.2.1. session with me to plan and apply the work to your own space - 2 gatherings to meet on the plots, see and discuss progress over the year - 5 handbooks to accompany the practical sessions with all the skills and techniques there together with photos from our plots. Fully revised each season. (Only for alumni & current course members) - A WhatsApp group for questions, sharing and support between the sessions. The practical days begin 10am with coffee and cake, a 2 course lunch and finish with refreshments by 2.30pm. Gatherings in April and July 10am-midday coffee & Cake. Early Autumn Class -Tuesday 19th September 2023 - 10am-2.30pm -Presprouting & planting/ Ranunulus/ bulbs/ hardy annuals/ composting. Late Autumn Class -Tuesday 14th November 2023 - 10am-2.30pm -Tulips/ lifting dahlias/ mulching/ root cuttings/dividing perennials. Winter Class - Tuesday 16th January 2024 10am-12 midday. - Planning your space/ schedules & plot plans/ successional growing Winter 1.2.1. -Included in course and booked separately 90mins -In your garden, Allotement, farm OR at the plots here. Spring Class - Tuesday 12th March 2024 10am-2.30pm - Annuals/ seed sowing/ preparing beds/ dahlia splitting and starting/cuttings. Mid Spring Gathering - Tuesday 16th April 2024 10am-Midday - Tour of plots and gathering to discuss progress. Summer Class - Tuesday 21st May 2024 10am-2.30pm - Planting out/ staking/ feeding/ biennials/ composting. Mid Summer Gathering - Tuesday 9th July 2024 10am-midday - Final session Confirmation of dates will be sent on booking together with welcome letter. Payable by instalments, pay £500 now to secure place £1600 total or £1,500 now to book place.
