This foundational course leads you through every technique, skill and consideration to grow your own cut flowers and supporting you through the year together. Whether you want to grow in mixed borders at home, a patch on an allotment or multi acre, you will learn exactly how to do so and apply the experience to your own space. The course has 3 phases - 1. ‘Closing’ down the growing season and preparing for the next 2. Planning your space and growing season 3. Executing your plans for your space this year I teach this in 5 ways - - In 6 practical sessions, completing each task together on the plots, taking home plants and flowers to grow on and arrange. Picking up on each growing stage across the year, checking in on progress, and cutting and conditioning flowers. - 1 group planning day. - A 1.2.1. session in your garden or plot to plan & apply the work - 6 handbooks to accompany the practical sessions with all the skills and techniques there together with photos from our plots. - Composting handbook & exclusive notebook for all your planning. - A private Facebook group for questions, sharing and support between the sessions. The practical days begin 10am with coffee and cake, a 2 course lunch and finish with refreshments by 3pm. Sessions in April and July 10am-2pm coffee & Cake and a light working lunch. Early Autumn Class -Thurs 12th September 2024 - 10am-3pm -Presprouting & planting/ Ranunulus/ bulbs/ hardy annuals/ composting & green manures Late Autumn Class -Wed 13th November 2024 - 10am-3pm -Composting / Tulips/ lifting dahlias/ mulching/ root cuttings/dividing perennials. Winter Class - Wed 15th January 2025 10am-2pm. - Planning your space/ schedules & plot plans/ successional growing Winter 1.2.1. -Included in course and booked separately 90mins -In your garden, allotment, farm OR at the plots here. Spring Class - Wed 12th March 2025 10am-3pm - Annuals/ seed sowing/ preparing beds/ dahlia splitting and starting/cuttings. Mid Spring Gathering - Wed 30th April 2024 10am-2pm - Check in on progress, review stages & tasks Summer Class - Wed 4th June 2024 10am-3pm - Planting out/ staking/ tea feeds / biennials/ green manures. Mid Summer Gathering - Wed 9th July 2024 10am-2pm - Check in on progress, review stages & tasks *NEW* Final session is Summer Party Wednesday 24th September 2025 The course costs £1,650 if paid in full at booking.
